About Our Scholarship
Our Mission
The S.H.O.E Scholarship, established by Schenectady High School alumni Hassan Taylor and Tamara Albury, provides a $1,000 financial scholarship to an African American student enrolling in an accredited college or university. We prioritize applicants with demonstrated leadership skills and a strong and or diverse academic record, ensuring a deserving candidate receives a token of our appreciation and support they need to excel in their educational pursuits.
Requirements

Senior enrolled in Schenectady High School

GPA (at time of application) of at least 2.6

Personal Essay (no more than 5 paragraphs) on how you have demonstrated leadership (whether social, academic, etc.) and how you plan to use the award.
